Intel is a semiconductor designer and manufacturer. It makes microprocessors for various end customers. Over the last decade Intel hesitated to invest in the latest semiconductor manufacturing technology. Consequently, competitors such as Samsung, TSMC, AMD and Nvidia have taken market share with higher performance chips. Fortunately, Intel’s management is executing on a turnaround plan which will result in Intel’s rebirth as a global semiconductor champion.
